“Home!” Jason and Rocky responded. Trini and Aisha grinned at them.
“They’re just mad because we stole their credit cards,” Trini explained to Kira who looked from the fuming red rangers and back to the women then gave an unsure nod.
“How about you girls go shopping and we’ll wait here?” Adam suggested, very glad that Tanya was in England at the moment.
“Nope. You guys could get into trouble,” Kim responded, letting go of Aisha and giving him a pat on the cheek. Adam just rolled his eyes.“Yeah, I miss him,” Jason said. “I started going to that Juice Bar as soon as I was old enough climb up on the stools. Took my first karate lesson there, too. Ernie was like a father to us when we were growing up.”
“Speaking of fathers,” Ethan said thoughtfully, “aren’t the rest of you going to go see your parents while you’re here?”
“Jason and I see our parents all the time, since we live here,” Trini said.
“My folks don’t live here anymore,” Zack said. “Moved out to San Diego.”
“My mom lives in France,” Kimberly added. “And I just saw my dad a couple weeks ago.”She smiled, “It’s designed to keep heirs like my dad employed instead of living off my grandfather’s estate. The problem is, I’m not technically employed now and renovating the house doesn’t count. I’ve been cut off until I either go back to school or get a job. My mother’s putting huge pressure on me to move back to Paris and help with the gallery and my Uncle and brother are putting pressure on me to come work for them. It’s hard to explain why I’m always so busy if I’m technically not doing anything.”
“Going to work for your family isn’t an option?” Billy asked, pressing a few more buttons and checking the readings.
“Not with Tommy increasing my duties here and with other duties elsewhere. I’m chasing my tale to keep up. If it weren’t for Tommy, nothing would be getting done on the house. He’s the one pushing me foreword on it.”
