“I don’t need to rest! I’m telling you, there’s a giant snake on my bed. Why can’t you two see it?” Zack was shaking by this point, almost worse than he had been the night before. Tommy just looked at Billy and shrugged.

“Zack, maybe you need to lay down for a while?”

“I don’t want to lay down. Fuck, I don’t want to be in this room,” he argued.

“Fine, why don’t you put on your shirt and we’ll go up to my room while Billy showers?” Tommy suggested, picking up the shirt (snake included) and handing it towards Zack, who screaming and smacked the shirt away, his hand colliding with the rubber as it fell to the floor and Tommy doubled over laughing. Zack stared at him and Billy for a few moments.“Doesn’t matter,” Trent said in the hopes of getting them to shut up, mostly because he knew Kira was annoyed by it. “She was flirting with Dr. O, anyway.”

“Ew,” Conner and Ethan groaned.

“She was not!” Tommy insisted, his face burning as Jason, Trini, Zack, Kimberly and Billy laughed.

“What are we doing for the rest of the day?” Kira practically yelled, trying to change the subject. “And tomorrow?”

“Well… the day’s mostly over,” Trini said. “We were in the basement for a really long time.”He walked through the room and picked up one of the sound repellents Kim had installed. The far wall of the room had become one massive wasp nest and they had spent the better part of the previous afternoon removing the colony of unwanted tenants. He paused, glancing at the sound device and mulling over the day’s attack. It was entirely possible Zedd had been watching the house and dreamed up the bee monster in response to their efforts to exterminate the wasps. He’d have to remember to install a security shield on the property like he’d done for his own houses.

The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and he whirled around to see a faint bluish glow just before it disappeared. That was new. He’d often felt something in the house, but as of yet, he’d never actually seen anything. The glow blinked briefly to his right and he swerved again.
