“Ok, well, you’ll all be swimming with T-shirts on. Once you’re out of the pool, you have to pull your wet T-shirt off, and put it on a fourth person. Once the fourth is wearing all the t-shirts, you have to get them into the pool, and drag them across; they can’t do any swimming of their own; and pull them out on the other side. Then remove all three t-shirts and put them back on.”

“Did anyone follow a word she just said?” Zack asked. Trini, Kira, Aisha, Rocky, Jason, Tommy, Adam, Billy, Ethan, and Trent all raised their hands. Zack just looked at Conner. “Well, at least I’m not alone.” His statement was followed by laughter and the appointment of the three extras. Kim would be the fourth for the yellows since none of their t-shirts would fit the guys. Ethan would go for the blacks since they didn’t have a teenager on their team, and Trent would be the fourth for the reds since Billy opted not to be dragged across a pool by Rocky and Jason and he doubted that Conner would be any better..There was also the headache of her grandfather’s nineteen-fifties remodel. Kim was thrilled to find the dropped ceilings hid beautifully plastered ceilings above, but there was no other insulation in the house beyond the last attempt to modernize the first floor. What insulation was present, was full of asbestos.

Given the situation with foundation problems, the lack of wiring, plumbing, and the insulation, the entire house had to be shored up and completely gutted before she could even think about renovating. This was good in the sense that it would allow her to modernize the floor plan and customize it to her own needs, but it was also frustrating considering that all the renovations would have to be done by herself. No construction company, not even her uncle’s, would touch the job. This left Kim in the embarrassing position of having to mooch help from her friends… again.Jason and Trini didn’t show up for almost three hours; they came up to the sixth floor and found Tommy and Zack arguing over Tommy’s wardrobe, their hotel door wide open. Zack was wearing a pair of jeans and Tommy only khakis while they both shook black shirts at each other like matadors waving flags at a bull.

“Get your own color!” Zack half-shouted.

“You don’t have a patent on the color black!” Tommy retorted.

“You’ve got three other colors to choose from! Wear green or something! None of us were ever Green!”

“Knock, knock,” Trini called through the open door.
